The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national working committee (NWC) on Wednesday backed Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as the vice-presidential candidate of the party for the 2023 elections. It was gathered that the PDP NWC wants Wike to be the running mate of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. According to TheCable, NWC members voted 13-3 to endorse the report of the panel which had earlier nominated Wike for the VP ticket.
